Charlie Dunn

Meet Charlie, a Performing Arts student studying our Stage Management and Operations course!

We caught up with Charlie about her time studying at Middlesbrough College. She said: “One of my favourite parts about studying this course has been the collaborative projects. For one project, my group and I created a show based on the League of Gentlemen. It was part skit, part musical, and an incredible experience.

“The opportunity to put on a show at the college and manage everything from the set to the costumes was such a fantastic learning experience.”

To gain more experience and to be more involved within the Performing Arts community outside of her studies, Charlie also works part-time at the Hippodrome Theatre. She said: “This has provided some amazing opportunities that have been invaluable during my time studying at the College.”

Career-wise, Charlie is passionate about automation, which involves managing moving scenery and creating and controlling complex scene changes that happen on stage. She has also achieved an amazing offer to study Technical Theatre and Stage Management at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA)!

Charlie’s dedication and talent have clearly impressed RADA, particularly with her personal project, and we are all eager to see how well she does in the future!
