Aislyn Hay is studying the brand new Access to Higher Education Diploma in Health Distance Learning- a flexible programme that is taught 100% online, and she is encouraging others with a dream of going to university to do the same.
Aislyn, a 23 year old Recruitment Consultant from Darlington, chose to enrol onto the online Access Diploma to achieve her ambition of becoming a nurse. Now she is one step closer to making her dream a reality as she has been offered places at two local universities to study for a degree in Adult Nursing.
Aislyn said “The Access to Health Distance Learning course has proved to me that I can achieve anything I set my mind to.
“I was worried at first about the support I would receive from College as the course is taught 100% online; however the support from both tutors along with the 24 hour accessible material available on Canvas is invaluable.
“I particularly enjoy the interactive Skype lessons we have and the fact they are recorded so anything you want to re-visit - you can watch again! There is also a Facebook group with all the other students studying the online course so we can discuss assignments and help each other!
“I have a full time job and the course fits around my work commitments as I can study from home and in my own time. I would encourage anyone who wants to change career or study for a degree to consider the Access to Higher Education Diploma in Health Distance Learning as it is so flexible.
“I am now on the path to something I dreamed of doing and most importantly enjoying the challenge of learning new things every step of the way.”
