“I came across to the UK four years ago after leaving Syria because of the conflicts. I had very little knowledge of the English language, but I knew that I wanted to become a solicitor. After speaking with The Careers Team at Middlesbrough College I decided to enrol onto the Access to Higher Education Diploma in Law & Criminology.
“The course has been really interesting, and all of my teachers are very kind and supportive. I’ve been offered places at a range of universities to study for a degree in Law. I’m so excited for the future as I’m now one step closer to fulfilling my dream of becoming a solicitor.
“Middlesbrough College has been a safe and friendly place to study. I would encourage anyone who is considering studying for an Access course here to do it! Education is so important. It makes you stronger and allows you to earn your own money and have your own independence.”
