It’s been Melissa Wright’s lifelong dream to be a vet. “I’ve never liked the idea of a lifetime in an office,” she said. “For me, the countryside will be my office!”
The 19-year-old is no one-trick pony and student will take up a place at Harper and Keele Veterinary School, where she’ll be studying the ins and outs of animal health.
Melissa, from Redcar, said: “I feel totally overwhelmed that my dream is coming true. I’m so happy to be on to the next step in my journey to becoming a vet.
“The small class sizes at the College mean that you get exactly the support you need to achieve, and each teacher is focused on helping you get to where you want to be.
“My advice to students considering enrolling at Middlesbrough College is to go for it – take every opportunity that comes your way and be confident that you can succeed.”
