We caught up with Lewis Buter, a Fd Sports Coaching, Development and Fitness student at Middlesbrough College!
He said: “I’d already studied the Level 3 and Level 4 Sport courses at the College, so I knew all about the progression routes available through the Level 5 course. I think the facilities are fantastic and I already knew the tutors, so continuing my studies here was a no-brainer!
“It has also been amazing to receive £500 in funding to spend on additional training. So far, I’ve spent this on developing my coaching skills which has really helped to enhance my CV.
“I also work as Head Coach for Middlesbrough College’s Basketball Academy. Basketball is definitely my sport of choice and it’s great that the College has helped me start a career in something I love.
“After my degree, I really want to go into teaching, either at a secondary school or College.”
