Here at Middlesbrough College Sixth Form, we offer a variety of different A Level courses whether you are interested in the sciences, humanities, or creative industries, there is something for everyone!

What are A levels?
An A Level is a two-year Level 3 course assessed through a mixture of coursework and exams taken at the end of year 2. A Levels are a great way to develop your academic skills to prepare you for University. You can choose up to 3 courses to study over the two-year period.
Where will you study?
Our A Level students are based at MC6, our very own independent Sixth Form which is located right next to the main building and is only a short walk away from the town centre. At MC6 you’ll mix with like-minded students in an independent and supportive environment that will help prepare you for life after College.
What does it take to study A Levels?
To study A Levels at Middlesbrough College Sixth Form you will need to have five GCSEs at grade 4/5 (C) or above. Some subjects may require higher grades so be sure to check the courses and the entry criteria on our website.
Where can A levels take you?
A Levels are a great way to progress onto University and last year 1,300 of our students did just that. Students are supported throughout the UCAS application process with guidance from our tutors and our Russell Group coordinator. Our former students have attended some of the best universities across the UK! However, if University is not for you, there are other options for to choose after College, such as degree apprenticeships or employment. Whatever your goals are, we have a team of Careers Advisors on hand to help guide you.
