NEBOSH National Diploma Occupational Health and Safety – Level 6

Modules include:

• Management of Health and Safety including Risk control, Human Factors, Organisational Factors and Health and Safety Law
• Hazardous Agents including Chemical and Biological Agents, Noise, Vibration and Psychosocial Agents
• Workplace and Work Equipment hazards including Fire and Explosion, Work Equipment, Electrical Safety and Construction
• Workplace based Assignment

Wednesdays

Year 1 – 9am – 12pm
Year 2 – 1pm – 4pm

• Course participants should be aged 19+, due to the course high intensity and course material covered.
• Course participants must also be in employment due to the assessment criteria set.
• Consideration of enrolment may be given, if you are recently unemployed and have relevant knowledge.
• Delegates who do not hold the Level 3 NEBOSH, will be required to attend an interview to determine their suitability.
• Course participants should also have a suitable standard of English language in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus
  

• DN1 – Know – workplace health and safety principles – Assessment: workplace-based tasks together with simulations and reflective statements and a research topic.
• DN2 – Do – controlling workplace health issues – Assessment: Scenario-based case study.
• DN3 – Do –controlling workplace safety issues – Assessment: Scenario-based case study.

Students will obtain the NEBOSH National Diploma and can then become Graduate Members of IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health). This leads eventually to Chartered Membership of the Institute.

During your course we ensure you develop employability skills and gain relevant experience. We provide information, advice and support when completing your course and progressing to work or going into higher education. When applying for university we can provide support with the UCAS application and Student Finance.

Payments for these courses can be made by the following options;

• Full payment prior to course starting.
• A deposit at the start of the course followed by a payment plan you agree with our Finance team. Plans must be fully paid 1-month prior to the end of the course.
• Please note that your deposit and payment plan must be set up and paid prior to your first day of attendance.
• Financed by your employer or a 3rd party (Evidence of payment intent required – please provide at enrolment, when you attend). Usually via Invoice / Purchase Order, a letter of payment intent on headed paper is also acceptable.
• Financed through ELCAS
• Please note that there is no other funding currently available for this course. Student Finance is not accepted for this course.
• No deferments are allowed for this course
