Applicants should have a related qualification at Level 5 (a Foundation Degree or equivalent). There will be an interview for all applicants with the programme leader. Successful candidates should hold qualifications in English language and mathematics to at least GCSE grade5 or above (A-C) or demonstrate adequate skills and competencies.

Non-standard entrants are interviewed to assess their ability to complete the course, including a review of their professional experience and training gained in the workplace.

You will be assessed through essays, portfolios, reports, projects, a presentation, mock job interview and assignments.

Our students follow careers in the health and social care sector and public health, working in roles such as a social work assistant, an assistant practitioner or a support worker. You may also be able to apply for postgraduate study and graduate schemes within health and care.

Fees payable direct to Middlesbrough College: £8,500 per year.
