This course is a broad introduction to art and design and is practical and work related. You will undertake a range of practical tasks exploring media and techniques, fashion and textiles, photography and graphics, printmaking, illustration, drawing and painting. The course will cover a mixture of real life briefs and self-devised projects. There are no exams on this course, as all work undertaken is assignment based.

As a creative arts student, you’ll benefit from Middlesbrough College’s great facilities and high quality equipment and materials. This includes a photography studio and darkroom, large Apple iMac suite, spacious workshops and print and textiles studio. Students get involved in a range of projects to develop their creative skills including fashion shows, designing posters for theatre performances and the end of year art show.
