“I chose to take my education higher at Middlesbrough College as I loved studying my Level 3 course at the College and I had built great relationships with my tutors.
“The tutors have been really helpful, especially during the pandemic. The support has been outstanding.
“The course is a fantastic stepping stone to a career within the construction industry and allows you to be around people that are already in the construction industry, such as trainees and apprentices, which means that you learn from their experiences too. You will make good connections whilst studying this course as there are a lot of students working for different companies and in different professions.
“The teachers are really helpful and will always help you if you are struggling. This course has been very beneficial for my career as it doesn’t focus on one area of construction. This has allowed me to study many different professions in the industry and helped me decide what I want to do in the future. I have loved meeting new people on this course and learning from those that are working in the industry.
“The facilities at the College are excellent. Most of the rooms are fitted with ten or more computers, which allows me to do research during the lessons. There is also a really good library that have two floors full of computers and books which are really handy if you don’t have a computer at home as it allows you to complete assignments at the College.
“I have really enjoyed studying my course at Middlesbrough College but I am excited about starting the next chapter in my career. One of my peers recommended me to his employer and I have been fortunate to gain an apprenticeship at a local construction company. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of Middlesbrough College.”
