“I thoroughly enjoyed my education degree at Middlesbrough College. The balance is perfect for a part time course- there’s a lot of work, but the lectures are delivered in a way which works for someone who is employed full-time.
“I enjoyed how the lecturers created a relaxed yet informative and productive environment. Sessions were discussion based – it was never just a case of sitting and being talked at for hours! Lectures were always engaging, interesting and relevant.
“I also enjoyed getting to know the range of people on the course. Everyone had different backgrounds and different career goals – we complimented each other very well and learnt from each other!
“I would definitely recommend this degree. All lecturers are experienced professionals. They were able to deliver course content in an engaging way, applying their own experiences to the content of the lesson. If I was ever unsure, the lecturers were just an email or phone call away.
The modules that I studied on the course were closely linked to all aspects of education. For example, we looked at the importance of being reflective on our practice, promoting positive behaviour in the classroom and how to support learners with additional needs.
“The facilities at Middlesbrough College are great! Higher education students have access to a computer room and modern classrooms. The common room was also useful for a quick catch-up and a game of table football before lectures!
“I have just gained employment as a Teacher in a primary school and I am enjoying settling in to my new job and developing professionally.”
