Meet our Security & Building Services Manager, Ken Lowes.

Ken served in the RAF for 22 years as a Policeman, once he left the military Ken went and worked for Tesco Distribution as the Security Business Partner for a further 10 years.

Sadly, Ken was made redundant from Tesco which left him looking for work. His CV was put forward by an employment agency and he secured his current role at Middlesbrough College as Security & Building Services Manager.

Ken said, “Although I am new to this role, I have an extensive background in security and I’m confident I’ll be able to apply my vast knowledge to this role.

“I’m really excited to get stuck into the job! In my short time here so far, the support I have received from the wider security team has been fantastic.

“The College itself seems like a great place to work, everyone is warm and friendly and I’m looking forward to getting to know more faces.

“In my spare time I love walking around the Lake District or along the coastline, as well as sea and fly fishing.”
