Assistant Director of Policy, North East England Chamber of Commerce
Heading up the Chamber’s Policy Team in the Tees Valley, Rachel’s primary role is to ensure that the issues raised by the Chamber’s members across the five Boroughs and North Yorkshire are represented to decision makers at local and national level. It is also part of her role to look at potential future development which will bring an economic benefit to the area and provide support and advice where appropriate. Rachel works closely with key bodies such as TVCA, the Universities and local authorities and the Bank of England. Understanding the private sector is key and central to her role is working with NECC members to understand their industries and needs.
Rachel is a graduate of the University of Huddersfield with a BA (Hons) History and Politics and holds a PG Dip Law from Northumbria University.
