Imran was appointed by the Governing Body on the 25 September 2023.

Imran Anwar, the founder and CEO of Alt Labs, has played a pivotal role in transforming the company from its humble beginnings into a national award-winning enterprise. With over a decade of cross-sector experience in Transport, Banking, and E-commerce, Imran has driven Alt Labs to secure prestigious contracts with entities such as the London North Eastern Railway and UCL. His expertise in Growth Hacking, Digital Transformation, and Big Data has not only fueled remarkable growth but also attracted attention from industry giants like Microsoft and the BBC.

Beyond his corporate achievements, Imran is deeply invested in the tech startup community. He has mentored over 180 startups, significantly impacting their ability to secure vital VC funding. His recent venture, the Flok Co-Working Space in Teesside, is a testament to his dedication to cultivating tech talent and has hosted notable events, including the first TedX Women outside of London.

Imran’s relentless innovation and leadership have earned Alt Labs multiple honors, including the FSB’s ‘Largest Small Business of the Year 2023’ and the Tees Tech for Good award. As the Tees Valley BME Leader of the Year 2021, Imran Anwar continues to inspire with his commitment to advancing technology and entrepreneurship.
