David Budd

Co-Opted Governor

Sub-Committees: Audit and Risk

Born in Middlesbrough, David was a small business manager for a high street bank. He was a Councillor for many years and Elected Mayor of Middlesbrough from 2015 to 2019. Major interests included economic development, regional affairs and culture. David was a founder member of Tees Valley Combined Authority which negotiated devolved powers from Government. He was also a member of the Arts Council and campaigned for more funding for the Tees Valley. Having worked for a Development Agency and having been a non-executive director of a company specialising in creating small businesses, he maintains an interest in this form of employment.

As a member of Erimus Rotary Club, David would hope to cement and extend the relationship with the College.
