When should I apply to Middlesbrough College?

Applications for September 2025 entry are open now, and we strongly recommend applying as soon as possible. This is especially important if you’re interested in one of our most popular courses, which can fill up quickly.

Not sure which course is right for you? Don’t worry, the Schools Team are here to help!

Why is it important to apply to College early?

Courses can fill up quickly, and applying now ensures you’ll have the best chance of securing a place on your dream course. You’ll also have access to key events like interviews, taster sessions, and enrolment information before spaces fill up.

How many courses can I apply to?

We understand that choosing what to do after Year 11 can be challenging, especially if you’re unsure which course is right for you. That’s why we allow you to apply for up to five different courses.

This means you don’t have to make a final decision straight away. Instead, you’ll have time to explore your options, attend taster sessions, and receive guidance before making your final course choice at enrolment in August.

However, having your application in early is essential, as applying secures your place and ensures you have the best chance of getting onto your preferred course, whichever one that may be!

Do I need to decide now?

No, you don’t have to make your final decision on which course you’d like to study right away! We know that choosing the right course is a big decision, and it’s okay if you’re still exploring your options.

Your final choice doesn’t need to be made until enrolment in August, so you have plenty of time to think things through. However, it’s essential that you submit your application for the course(s) you’re interested in as soon as you can.
