Overview

This course is for anyone with an interest in how IT systems are used in a business environment. This course aims to give students an understanding of how ICT supports and enhances business activities and communications.

This course is for you if you enjoy studying the use of ICT but in the context of working with people within organisations. Areas include financial modelling, the management of business resources, creating an e-commerce strategy and investigating ways to maintain security on business websites and networks.

Entry requirements

You must have achieved an appropriate Level 2 vocational qualification and /or five GCSEs at grade 4/5 (C) or above, including maths & English.

A portfolio of assessed work will be produced via set assignments and practical work.

University opportunities
Past students have progressed to study degrees in information technology, data science and computer science.


Career opportunities
Career opportunities include IT business analysis, systems designer, web design, IT consulting, IT systems management, data analysis and programming.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances.
