Entry requirements

There are no formal qualifications required. If you have a grade 3 (D) or below in GCSE English and/ or maths you will be required to continue studying these subjects as part of your study programme.

You will be assessed through a multiple choice exam, practicals and  verbal /written questioning.

This course can lead to further study at the Middlesbrough College within one of the Level 1 programmes within the construction department.

The College Careers Service is available to all our students. We can help you when deciding which course or option you wish to take. During your course we ensure you develop employability skills and gain relevant experience. We provide information, advice and support when completing your course and progressing to work or going into further education.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances.

Explore Construction

Construction students will have the opportunity to work in state of the art workshops, and have access to a real life outdoor construction site. This realistic work environment allows students to gain practical experience in constructing a single story dwelling which is built from foundations up to the roof.
