September - June

Entry requirements

You must have achieved an appropriate Entry Level vocational qualification and/ or GCSEs at grade 2-1 (E-F) or above, including Maths and English with a minimum of Entry 3 at assessment if no other qualifications achieved.

There will be a number of assessments during the course including role-plays, assignments, interviews and portfolio work.

On completion of this course you may have the opportunity to progress onto the NVQ Level 2 Travel Services, the Level 2 Travel and Tourism or the Level 2 Aviation Operations.

The College Careers Service is available to all our students. We can help you when deciding which course or option you wish to take. During your course we ensure you develop employability skills and gain relevant experience. We provide information, advice and support when completing your course and progressing to work or going into higher education. When applying for university we can provide support with the UCAS application and Student Finance.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances.

Explore Travel & Tourism

Travel, tourism & aviation students will have the opportunity to work in an on-site simulated aircraft cabin complete with seats, drinks, duty free trolleys and emergency life jackets. They will also benefit from our partnership with Swissport International, providing exclusive access to training at Durham Tees Valley and other UK airports!
