Students, Spring is here and with only 15 weeks until the end of your current course now is the perfect time to be thinking about your next steps!

Whether you have your sights set on university, want to progress at Middlesbrough College or want to move straight into the world of work; we have a team of Careers Advisors and support staff on hand to help. It’s important to understand the options available to you depending on where you’re currently at. We want you to make every success of your time here at College and promise to guarantee you a place on a higher level programme if you successfully complete your current course with us! If your sights are set on uni, and you want to explore the vast range of courses available to you across the country UCAS is a great starting point, but if you don’t like the idea of moving away, you could also consider a degree level course with Middlesbrough College! Offered in partnership with Teesside University, we have over 30 programmes on offer, all featured in our latest higher education prospectus.

Speak to your Personal Tutor

You’ll have a progression interview with your Tutor in the last half-term of College where you can run through your next steps. Don’t leave it until then though to get sorted! Get your plan of action in place well in advance.

Make an appointment with the Careers Team

If you are unsure about your next steps, or if you want advice on a different career route you may be thinking of taking; book in to see the Careers Team who will be able to offer you free, impartial advice and guidance. Drop by the Careers Centre on the street, or email careers@mbro.ac.uk.

Come to our Progression Fayre

Taking place on Thursday 9th March between 10.30am-5.00pm, it’s the perfect opportunity to talk to curriculum staff, find out about the options available to you, and get expert careers advice.
