Middlesbrough College Sixth Form is part of Middlesbrough College. However, the building is separate, meaning you will have your own learning and study space just next door to the main campus and all it has to offer.
You can use all of Middlesbrough College’s facilities, including the gym, salon, library and various food outlets!
MC Sixth Form has small class sizes, and you will receive 1:1 support sessions with your tutor to help you with everything from your studies to university applications and more.
Please don’t worry! Your MC Sixth Form Showcase Event is simply a chance for us to get to know you and help you make the best subject choices to match your goals. It’s also a great opportunity for you to ask any questions!
You will have various independent study periods in your timetable, giving you lots of time to organise your workload and complete any work. MC Sixth Form also offers a quiet study space, perfect for when you need to concentrate!
Yes! We have an excellent track record of helping students progress to their university of choice. Previous students have gone on to study at a wide range of leading universities in the country, including Oxford, Durham, Cambridge, Newcastle, Northumbria, York, Leeds and many more!

Yes, all MC Sixth Form students are welcome to apply to join an Elite Sports Academy alongside their studies.
We are located a short walk away from Middlesbrough town centre and we have fantastic transport links. As an MC Sixth Form student, you will benefit from free* bus and reimbursed train travel*, covering a wide range of routes and areas in the North East.
*Free travel for all students eligible for a bursary and £5 admin fee per term for all other students.
