The Marketing Team at the Middlesbrough College Group were excited to welcome Armani, a Level 3 Business student, to join the team on a work placement for a week in February. Armani supported the team during a busy week, in which they hosted the Apprenticeship Expo and welcomed an external photographer to take new photographs of curriculum departments in the College.
Here’s what Armani had to say about her week with the Marketing Team:
“In the past few days of my placement, I’ve gradually become acquainted with my workspace and environment by slowly acquiring small yet significant skills that have aided me in understanding the systems and the workings of marketing.
“Throughout my time here, I have participated in meetings, greeted employees, observed tasks around the college, interviewed former students who have studied here and are now applying their skills in their chosen apprenticeships, and gathered content for social media and college brochures.
“The Apprenticeship Expo was a delightful experience; I gained insight into the daily activities and acquired new skills while discovering the elements involved in organizing the event.
“Overall, this week has been enjoyable as I’ve gained insight into the operations of the marketing department and discovered how creative the field can be.
“Additionally, the staff in the department have been friendly and wonderful to collaborate with during my placement. I believe the marketing department provides a vibrant atmosphere for placement, as I’ve acquired numerous new skills and encountered various opportunities.”
