Overview

This course is designed for students wishing to obtain the appropriate knowledge and academic skills required for undergraduate study on health and allied to health pathways.

The course is intensive and demanding and it is therefore important to be self-motivated with a commitment to hard work for the duration of the programme and an aptitude for independent study.

Entry requirements

You must be 19 years or older and have achieved a GCSE or equivalent in maths, English and science at grade 4 (C) or above.

Assessment is designed to prepare you for the full range of assessment methods you will experience at University.

This qualification will provide you with a range of transferable skills so that you can progress onto a range of our HE courses.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course. 

If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances. 

Level 3 Entitlement: If you are aged 19 - 23 on the start date of the course and this is your first full Level 3 qualification the course is free. Advanced Learner Loan: If you are aged 19-23 and this is not your first full Level 3 qualification or you are aged 24 or over on the start date of the course, you will have to pay fees. However, you may qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan. You can apply for an Advanced Learning Loan from Student Finance England (SFE) to fund all or part of the fee. For information on Advanced Learning Loans go to www.gov.uk/advanced-learning-loans/.

The Advanced Learner Loan will not be repayable by students who progress into Higher Education and complete their degree.
