As a student, you will graduate with the prestige of an Open University degree.
Most of the courses offered by Middlesbrough College are delivered in collaboration with our partner, The Open University (OU). Established in 1964, the OU is a globally recognised brand and currently validates over 250 programmes working with colleges and employers across the country.
The OU is the largest academic institution in the UK and a world leader in delivering flexible learning.
Since it began in 1969, the OU has taught more than 1.8 million students and 87% of OU research is deemed internationally recognised or better.
40% of part-time undergraduates in the UK study with The Open University!
Through our partnership with the OU, we have the flexibility to create courses that meet employer needs, giving our graduates the vocational experience to progress into employment on completion of their programme.
Regarded as the UK’s major e-learning institution, the OU offers its students a vast open content portfolio of online resources and learning materials. Students will be able to access these facilities in the College or from home to support with their studies. This includes the OU library, OU on iTunes, Skills for OU study and OU on YouTube.
Our engineering programmes are validated by Pearson - the leading name for HNC/HND qualifications. Available at level 4 and 5, these specialist vocational qualifications teach learners the key concepts and practical skills for direct progression to, or within, employment.
All of our programmes are delivered on campus by experienced professionals.
