Weekly evening sessions with tutor plus independent learning hours.

This qualification is designed for individuals who are currently employed in a relevant sector and are involved in providing information, advice and guidance as part of their role. Learners should have access to workplace evidence that demonstrates their ability to support others through information, advice or guidance activities, as this will contribute towards their portfolio of evidence.

To be eligible, learners must:

Be employed in a relevant sector or role.

Provide information, advice and guidance as part of their day-to-day responsibilities.

Be able to gather workplace evidence to support the completion of their portfolio.

Be committed to developing their skills and gaining formal recognition for the guidance and support they provide.

This qualification is particularly suitable for Personal Advisors within the Welfare to Work sector and other professionals who provide personalised support and guidance to individuals.

Various assessment formats including observations in practice, written assignments and professional discussions

Upon completion, learners will be equipped to deliver high-quality, client-centred advice and guidance services, helping clients achieve their goals and make informed decisions. This course serves as a strong foundation for further development in advisory roles and supports career progression in a variety of sectors. Those who complete may wish to progress on to Level 4 IAG qualifications.

Learners will require access to IT facilities due to online learning formats involved as well as coursework submissions

Individuals aged 19 or over who are unemployed, or currently employed and looking to retrain or upskill, may be eligible for full funding. Employers are welcome to refer candidates onto this course. However, where the training is being undertaken to address a workforce skills gap, an employer contribution will be required
