Overview

This top-up degree course develops your knowledge and understanding of health and wellbeing and the contemporary and global context in which it is delivered. It is ideal if you want to top up your existing foundation degree or HND to Level 6 and gain graduate employment in the sector. You will study a range of subjects to develop your employment potential within health, social care and community health settings. This course enables you to focus on areas of specific interest, offering a unique learning experience.

Entry requirements

• You must have achieved a foundation degree (or equivalent) in a related subject.
• You must have achieved a foundation degree (or equivalent) in a related subject.
• You are also required to have GCSE passes at grade 4 (C) or equivalent in English and maths.

You will be assessed through essays, portfolios, reports, projects, a presentation, mock job interview and assignments.

Our students follow careers in the health and social care sector and public health, working in roles such as a social work assistant, an assistant practitioner or a support worker. You may also be able to apply for postgraduate study and graduate schemes within health and care.

Fees payable direct to Middlesbrough College, £8,500 per year.
