This course provides an introduction for those new to teaching and training or for those who wish to teach in the lifelong learning sector such as further education, adult and community education, work based learning and the voluntary sector, provided they are qualified / experienced in the subject they wish to teach.

Students will achieve a basic minimum standard for entering the lifelong learning sector of the teaching profession.

Entry requirements

Ideally you should possess a Level 2 qualification.

The course will be delivered via classroom sessions and independent self-directed study.

You will be assessed through a reflective journal, assignment and delivery of a micro- teach session.

A portfolio of evidence will be submitted at the end of the course.

You could progress to a certificate in education course (dependent on you holding a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in your subject area).


Please note, this course is a full cost course and therefore there is no fee remission available to any student.
