Entry requirements

• You must have achieved 48 UCAS tariff points from an appropriate Level 3 qualification in culinary arts (NVQ 3, BTEC Award, A Level or relevant T Level qualification).
• You are also required to have GCSE passes at grade 4 (C) or equivalent in English and maths.
• Non-standard entrants will be considered on the provision of evidence of relevant work experience.
• Work experience needs to be within the catering division and to a Level 3 standard of culinary arts relevant to support their foundation degree. This decision will be determined by interview.

You will be assessed through coursework designed to provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate your ability to meet the learning outcomes of the programme.

To support you, a variety of assessment methods are used to enhance the experience as well as to help you develop key transferable skills.

If you are a part time student, you are supported to complete work based projects in your workplace.

Successful students may choose to progress to the BA (Hons) Culinary Arts or the BA (Hons) Hospitality Management, a one year top-up programme also delivered at the College, to gain a full honours degree award.

Fees payable direct to Middlesbrough College, £6,900 per year.
