A Level Geography gives you the chance to explore some of the biggest issues shaping our world today. You’ll build valuable skills that will not only support your studies but also prepare you for university and a wide range of future careers.
In this course, you’ll dive into fascinating topics like natural hazards, the water and carbon cycles, global governance, and the challenges of contemporary urban environments. Along the way, you’ll develop your understanding of how the world works — and your ability to analyse it like a geographer.
Fieldwork is a key part of the course, and you’ll explore both real and virtual environments. You’ll learn how to interpret maps, graphs, and images, and how to collect a variety of data out in the field. You’ll also get to use tools like ArcGIS to map and analyse your findings, just like professionals in the industry.
