Warehousing and Manufacturing Skills Academy

The course merges theoretical and practical assessments and includes:

• Award in Personal Development for Employability (RQF)
• Certificate in Introduction to the Facilities Industry
• NVQ Diploma in Performing Manufacturing Operations
• Optional: Level 2 Award in Land Based Forklift Truck Operations (Counterbalance licence).

Various start dates available. Learners will study Monday – Friday, 9.30am – 3.30pm, for 3 weeks (plus, extra if learners choose to complete FLT Licence)

• Applicants must be aged 19+
• Must be a Tees Valley resident
• Must bring proof of benefit to enrolment session
• Applicants who have not lived in the UK or EU since birth must bring proof of residency, e.g. passport (3 years old) or residence permit.
• Must have achieved Entry Level 3 in English

On successful completion of the course the learner will be put forward for a guaranteed job interview.

Individuals must be aged 19 or over, unemployed or employed and earning under £33,210 per annum to receive full funding.

Learners will meet the employer whilst training with Middlesbrough College.

Training takes place at Middlesbrough College in our onsite Warehouse facility (STEM Centre) which is hands-on and in a practical learning environment. Employers will come on site prior to interviews to meet the learners and talk to them about job roles and vacancies.
