T Level – Media, Broadcast and Production (Content Creation) – Level 3

You will develop an understanding of a broad range of issues relevant to the sector, including:

• The creative economy
• The individual in the creative industries
• Cultural context and vocabulary
• Audience and consumer needs
• Legal and regulatory requirements
• Professional standards and conduct in the workplace
• Equality, diversity and inclusion requirements
• Research skills
• Project methodology and administration
• Continued professional development

In addition to the core content, each student will complete at least one module of occupation-specific content. The available in the Media, Broadcast and Production T Level are:

• Content creation and production

The occupational specialism will provide you with knowledge and skills required to enter employment or further study in the specific occupational area.

September – June

Four GCSEs at grade 4/5 (C) or above including maths and English or an appropriate Level 2 vocational qualification and maths and English GCSE grade 4 or above.

You will be assessed by 2 written exams and employer-set coursework.

Completing this course offers learners various opportunities for progression, including University, a Foundation Degree at Middlesbrough College, Employment, or an Apprenticeship.

Our MC Click scheme provides full time students (ages 16-19) on a level 1, 2 or 3 study programmes with a free loan laptop to assist with their studies. Laptops can be collected at enrolment. Click here for more information about MC Click.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home-fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

All full-time students will be offered a number of options to secure at least 10 days of meaningful work experience during the year. This is an important aspect of the course and will help to develop your skills to get a job, progress to a higher level qualification at Middlesbrough College or potentially gain a place at university.
