Multi Skills Academy – Gain Construction Skills Confidence

Kickstart your career in construction with our Multi Skills Academy. Learn practical skills in bricklaying, plastering, carpentry, and joinery, while gaining essential health and safety knowledge. The course includes CSCS Card preparation, E3 Certificate in Building & Construction, and Level 1 Health & Safety Award. You’ll also receive support with CV writing, interview techniques, and job applications, preparing you to step confidently into employment. Hands-on training, recognised qualifications, and employability guidance make this academy the perfect pathway for anyone ready to start or return to work in the construction industry.

This training has been developed according to requirements within the Construction industry. We have developed a sector-based work academy covering the below construction skills.

All candidates will be fully prepared for the job interview on completion of the academy. The academy/course covers:

Developing Bricklaying Skills
Introduction to plastering techniques
Job interview techniques and skills, CV writing, personal presentation.
CSCS Card Health and safety training

On completion of the course learners will achieve the following qualifications:

E3 Certificate in Building & Construction
L1 Award in Health and Safety
TVCA CSCS Card

ACL’s Employer Engagement Team will support learners into work, with onsite support during the course. Including interview techniques and application support and signposting vacancies.

Various start dates available. Course sessions Monday – Friday, 9.30am – 3.30pm, for 3 weeks.

Applicants must be aged 19+
Must be a Tees Valley resident
Must bring proof of benefit to enrolment session
Applicants who have not lived in the UK or EU since birth must bring proof of residency, e.g. passport (3 years old) or residence permit.
Must have achieved Entry Level 3 in English
All applicants must complete an English and maths assessment prior to starting the course.

Individuals must be aged 19 or over, unemployed or employed and earning under £33,210 per annum to receive full funding.
