Learners will also achieve the following:

• Understand LOLER 1998
• Understand the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 (Sections 2, 7 & 8) and other relevant legislation
• Establish loads, construction and safe use of rope, wire rope and chains, hooks, eyebolts and shackles
• Hand signals
• Correct slinging techniques
• Safe working practices
• The effects of angles
• CCNSG safety passport
• Certificate in introduction to the facilities industry
• Manual handling
• L1 Personal development for Employability
• Rigging & Fleeting
• Slinger Banksmen

Various start dates available.

Set College sessions:

• First 3 weeks: Wednesday – Friday, 9.30am – 3.30pm
• Week 4: Monday – Friday, 9.30am – 4pm

This course may end before 6 weeks depending on the availability of external training.

• Applicants must be aged 19+
• Must be a Tees Valley resident
• Must bring proof of benefit to enrolment session
• Applicants who have not lived in the UK or EU since birth must bring proof of residency, e.g. passport (3 years old) or residence permit.
• Must have acheive Entry Level 3 in English

Individuals must be aged 19 or over, unemployed or employed and earning under £33,210 per annum to receive full funding.
