Course overview
This course is designed to give you the skills and understanding required to work within the fitness industry as a personal trainer.
Throughout this course you will cover all aspects needed to become successful within fitness industry including designing and managing a range of fitness programmes, motivating and communicating effectively with clients, and increasing theoretical knowledge relating to the role such as anatomy, physiology and nutrition.
You will also spend time within external gym environments, developing business-based skills in line with the Active IQ qualification.
Please note this is a practical based course and good fitness levels and use of a gym is essential to pass.

Sports students will learn theoretical based study in the classroom, whilst taking part in a range of sport and fitness activities. Taught by specialist tutors and coaches, many of which are ex professionals in their field, you’ll benefit from fantastic facilities including an AstroTurf pitch, a strength and conditioning suite and a physiology lab.
