Course overview

The City & Guilds Level 3 Advanced Welding course in MIG welding focuses on developing proficiency in overhead welds, specifically on T-fillet, butt welds,and corner fillet joints.

The course covers advanced techniques for creating high-quality, strong welds in various positions, with a particular emphasis on the challenges of overhead welding. Students will learn to execute precise T-fillet welds, strong butt welds, and efficient corner fillet joints while maintaining weld integrity and meeting industry standards.

The course also covers safety protocols, material preparation, and reading technical drawings for complex welding projects, preparing learners for skilled roles in welding and fabrication. Also gaining the crucial Coding in 2G from TWI (The Welding Institute).

Full funding available for unemployed candidates. 70% – 90% of funding available for candidates currently employed (dependent on company size, and must be earning less than £33,210).
