Overview

This course will provide an in-depth introduction to the aviation industry for those who would like a career in one of its many occupational areas. You will cover the UK Aviation industry, customer service, security in aviation, aviation geography and terminology, team leadership, on-board operations, conflict and health and safety in aviation.

September - June

Entry requirements

You must have achieved an appropriate Level 2 vocational qualification and /or four GCSEs at grade 4/5 (C) or above, including English and maths.

Internal assessments will be carried out in a variety of ways including assignments, role plays and presentations.

University Opportunities

Past students have progressed to study degrees  airport and airline management, tourism management, leisure and tourism, and business.

Career opportunitiesCareer opportunities include RAF, Air Crew i.e. pilot training, Cabin Crew, Ground Staff, Flight Operations, Passenger service agents, Air Traffic Control, Airline marketing and customer service roles within the airline and airport industry.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

If you are aged 19 or over, you may be required to pay fees depending on your residency status, educational background and personal circumstances.
