How to apply

Applying for a full-time course at Middlesbrough College or TTE is easy – here are the 6 steps you need to take.

Full Time Students

You can apply for a course at any time through the academic year, however, the sooner you apply, the better your chances of securing a place!

Please note, we have a separate application process for Engineering with TTE applicants hoping to study Instrumentation or Electrical courses. Click here to view the process. All other courses will follow the process below.

Middlesbrough College and TTE enrolment is from 20th – 28th August 2026. Please note, if you take a holiday during this period and are not able to enrol, we may not be able to guarantee your place on your first-choice course.

Applying for Middlesbrough College, MC6 and MC Digital

Step 1: Be Application Ready

Before you apply, make sure you have:

  • A personal email address (not your school email)
  • WhatsApp on your phone

This is how our Admissions team will contact you with updates and your offer.

Step 2: Apply

Find your course here and click ‘Apply Now’.

It’s important that you submit your application as soon as possible. Some courses will fill up fast, and places are offered on a first come, first serviced basis.

Alternatively, you can apply with a paper copy of our application form. If you see our Schools Liaison team at your school, or come along to an open event, ask for an application form and either hand it back to our team or send it in the post.

Applying for A Levels? You don’t need to specify which subjects you would like to apply for at this stage.

Step 3: Showcase Event

After reviewing your application, we’ll invite you to a Showcase Event. This is your chance to:

  • Visit the College
  • Meet the tutors
  • Make sure the course is right for you

You must attend the Showcase Event to be offered a place on your chosen course.

Step 4: Offer

You will receive a conditional offer by email or letter with your next steps.

Step 5: Accept Your Offer

You can accept your conditional place at your Information Session, by phone, or by email. It is essential that you do accept your conditional offer.

Step 6: Enrolment

Enrolment starts in August each year.

When you have completed the above steps, you will receive a letter and email from our Admissions team with an allocated date and time to enrol on your course.

This appointment will be on or after GCSE Results Day (Thursday 20th August 2026) and will allow you time to collect your results from school. You will need to bring these to your appointment.

It is essential that you attend this appointment to secure your place for September 2026.

We highly encourage that you do not book time away during this time period, as you may risk losing your space on your chosen course.

Please be aware, all offers at the Middlesbrough College Group are conditional, subject to attaining the entry requirements, completing the full onsite enrolment process and course place availability.
