You'll be taught on-campus in a variety of ways including, seminars, tutorials and independent study. We offer more teaching hours than a traditional University and our class sizes are smaller meaning you’ll receive more contact time with your tutor including 1:1 feedback on your work and progress.
Our tutors have real industry experience in the sectors they teach. As well as being highly qualified academics, our tutors come from industry backgrounds, and regularly return to the workplace to update their skills and knowledge.
Following a recent national teaching review, Middlesbrough College has been awarded gold status in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).
Providing teaching of the highest quality in the UK, the College achieved the top grade in the Government's first TEF awards, which examined how universities and colleges are performing above demanding national standards.
Key features highlighted in the report were; students studying at Middlesbrough College acquired knowledge, skills and understanding that are highly valued by employers and that the College had invested in excellent physical and digital resources to support HE teaching and learning.
Over 90% of students were happy with the quality of their teaching, 5% higher than the national average.
