Are you ready to scrum with the best? We are thrilled to announce the return of the Rugby Academy at Middlesbrough College! Designed to develop the next generation of rugby talent, the Ruby Academy combines top-tier coaching with personalised training programmes and state-of-the-art facilities.
Your training will initially focus on the fundamentals of Rugby, developing your basic techniques and gameplay to an extremely high standard. Then, you will develop your focus on decision making and game understanding, ready to deliver an elite performance under pressure!
With a game plan tailored to unleash your skills, including a minimum of two high intensity sessions a week, and opportunities to compete in the AOC Championship league, you’ll be primed to reach peak performance and make your mark in the world of Rugby!
Facilities
All Rugby Academy students will have free access to physiotherapy to reduce injury risk and improve performance output. You will also find opportunities for additional position-specific sessions, allowing you to hone your specialist skill set! Training sessions will be held at the 4G pitch at Middlesbrough College, Middlesbrough Sports Village, and at Middlesbrough RFC!

We are TASS Dual Career Accredited
TASS (Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme) is an athletic support programme, which helps talented athletes to balance their sport and studies, with the goal of them being able to reach their potential in both. The programme is open to all elite athletes on any course at Middlesbrough College, not just Sports and Leisure courses.
