Leonie Jeffrey

Leonie Jeffrey, a former Spa Therapy student, has landed her dream job aboard a cruise ship.

The 18 year old from Middlesbrough is now a beauty therapist hired by the on board spa company, Steiner. Her maiden voyage has seen her travelling to exotic locations including Australia and Hong Kong on board cruise ship Carnival Legend.

Leonie, who has aspired to travel and see the world from a young age, credited the College for helping her achieve her dreams.

“Having always had an interest in massage therapy, I was so excited to start my final year in College studying Spa Therapy.” she said.

“My tutor Sandie was so supportive and really patient with us. She taught us everything we need to know and so much more.

Located at the top of the ship, Leonie is based in Spa Carnival, which offers premium beauty and wellness therapies, like hot stone massages, aromatherapy and full-body wraps.
My favourite aspect of the course was how often we got to work with real clients. The Spa Evenings for ladies were very popular. Customers would get a spa wrap and lovely treats, plus access to all of the facilities in College including the Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room.
