Jack Costello has spent the past two years laying the foundations for his dream career, and the hard work paid off as he picked up a Triple Distinction Star in Contraction and the Built Environment.
The 18-year-old from Park End in Middlesbrough has secured a place at Northumbria University to study Building Surveying.
He said: “The past two years at College have been great and although we’ve not been able to be as hands on as normal, my tutors have been really supportive throughout the pandemic, keeping us engaged with interesting presentations and examples.
“I’ve also had the opportunity to work on real-life briefs with some big names in the industry – for example, designing a housing estate for Keepmoat Homes.
“As much as I’m looking forward to moving away from home and finding my independence, I can’t wait to learn more about the industry, build a reputation for myself and one day run my own company.”
