Ben Lake is keen to enter a career in programming on completion of his Games Design course.
The 17 year old from Stockton-On-Tees was inspired to study at Middlesbrough College after a member of the School’s Team encouraged him to attend an Open Event and he was blown away by the software on offer to students.
"The software Middlesbrough College has to offer Games Design students is great! I’ve really enjoyed making 3D models on the computer and improving my drawing skills."
During his studies, Ben completed a work placement at local retailer Game, with the support of the College’s work placement team. This allowed him to develop his confidence whilst gaining a greater insight into the gaming industry.
After finishing his qualification, Ben has plans to transfer onto the College’s specialist Software Development to develop his skills in 3D modelling and computer software.
