Even though we can't open our doors to you during this difficult time we are delighted to offer our Virtual Open Event so you can find out all about TTE and our technical training courses from the safety of your own home.

We understand that this is a worrying time for school leavers, but we would like to reassure you that you have a place at TTE. If you’re unsure of which engineering discipline you’d like to go down, take the time now to browse this page. We’ve put together some handy tips and videos below on what you can get out of our Virtual Event so make sure you check it out. Step 1: Find the area you are interested in

Offering industry recognised technical qualifications, TTE serves over 600 students each year and specialises in oil & gas, process, manufacturing and engineering sectors.

Our large scale industrial training plants provide 'reality without risk' training, giving learners an interactive opportunity to learn under safe, strictly controlled conditions. Operated under permit to work conditions, our plants provides a realistic training environment to get learners ready for the workplace.

Our extensive engineering workshops also provide learners with industry-like experience, requiring the use of personal protective equipment and strict health and safety measures.

Step 2: Explore our study programmes

There are different areas of Engineering that you can explore here at TTE. Each course that we offer will help you to develop skills in a particular sector of Engineering. Step 3: Open up a live chat conversation with tutors from that subject

Staff from TTE will be on-hand to answer any of your questions via Livechat. All you need to do is open up a chat by clicking on the Livechat icon on the bottom right hand side of the screen. You will need to put in some of your details, your name and email address.

We will be available to chat and answer general questions from 4-6pm. We can answer any questions you have about a specific course area or just general questions about studying at TTE.

Step 4: Find out about our student perks and enrichment opportunities

We know that joining our centre is about more than just gaining your qualification, which is why we offer a fabulous enrichment calendar to compliment your studies. TTE students can enjoy Middlesbrough College’s on-site gym for just £10 a year and are also eligible to sign up to our popular Sports Academies. Hard work and achievements will also be rewarded, with a range of free enrichment activities during training.  

Free bus and train travel

Your journey to and from TTE needn’t be an issue thanks to our brilliant travel package.

Whether you live 15 or 50 minutes away, there are a number of bus and train routes available to make the journey that bit easier. 2020 applicants are also eligible for free bus travel and reimbursed train travel.

Step 5: Apply

Once you have found a course that is the right fit for your career goals, we’d encourage you to apply online to secure your place for September.

Here at TTE and Middlesbrough College we are guaranteeing all applicants a place to study with us in September. We know that schools will be calculating your GCSE grades after the cancellation of exams, but please be assured that no matter what your grades are, we can help you achieve your career ambitions. Additionally if you do not get a minimum Grade 4 in Maths or English you will be able to re-sit one or both of these with your vocational qualification.

During our enrolment period, we will make sure all of our applicants are fully supported in starting their chosen courses at a level that is right for them.


Changing course isn't a problem!

You can email us at recruitment@tte.co.uk and inform us which course you would like to change to and we will get a new offer sent out for you.

Yes! Our courses take place in the classroom where you will complete your technical certificate (for example, your Level 3 BTEC) alongside spending time in our industry standard workshops, where you will practice the practical skills required for your career in industry.

TTE will open again when the Government advises that it is safe to do so.
