Your course starts by helping you get to grips with core knowledge of how the construction industry works, the principles of design and the role of technology and sustainability. You will then have the chance to specialise in one of these areas:
•Bricklaying
•Carpentry and joinery
Whilst on your employer led work placement, you will be completing an employer set project, which a key essential part of the overall qualification.
Construction students will have the opportunity to work in state of the art workshops, and have access to a real life outdoor construction site. This realistic work environment allows students to gain practical experience in constructing a single story dwelling which is built from foundations up to the roof.
