This course is aimed at anyone with a desire to pursue a career in stage management, stage technician or lighting technician.
The core knowledge and understanding are assessed through an examination and core skills through a practical employer-set project. This is a Level 3 course which combines skills development with work experience and will equip students to go on to gain an apprenticeship, work within the stage management/media or study stage management or a media-related course at degree level at university. You will also gain essential skills transferrable to any chosen route after college.
Stagehands help to get things ready on set for performances in the theatre, at concerts and in TV and film studios.
Lighting technicians set up and operate lighting for concerts, conferences, and theatre, or in film and TV productions.
