This course is aimed at anyone with a desire to pursue a career in studio or live sound engineer.
The core knowledge and understanding are assessed through an examination and core skills through a practical employer-set project. This is a Level 3 course which combines skills development with work experience and will equip students to go on to gain an apprenticeship, work within the music production/media or study music production or a media-related course at degree level at university.
You will also gain essential skills transferrable to any chosen route after college. Sound engineers work in studios and make recordings of music, speech and sound effects. Live sound engineers control the sound at events like theatre performances, music concerts and festivals.
