T Level – Education and Early Years – Level 3

Course overview
If you’re passionate about making a difference in children’s lives, this T Level in Education and Early Years is the perfect way to kickstart your career in teaching, childcare, or educational support.
You will explore the role of families and support agencies, and learn how to delve into the specifics of social interaction, how language is acquired, and understanding behaviour. You’ll also build your skills in becoming a reflective practitioner with an understanding of the broader context of education.
T Levels provide students with the knowledge and experience needed to progress to employment or higher education. You will spend 3 days a week in the classroom, developing underpinning knowledge and theory. You will also attend work placement with a local employer to gain valuable industry work experience and develop skills for 1 or 2 days per week. (Placement hours and age range of children depend on which occupational specialism you choose).
When you enrol onto the T Level in Education and Early years you will choose one of two occupational specialisms. Within this specialism you will deepen the knowledge you gained in your first year and demonstrate the skills and behaviours you have gained through several performance outcomes.
Childcare & Early Years
Childcare students will be based in our multi-million pound campus, with specialist classrooms and equipment such as cyber babies and early years resources. Completing a work placement is a crucial element of our childcare courses as it means you can apply classroom learning in a real work environment.
