There will be no scheduled lessons on Wednesday 29th November for full-time 16-18 year old students due to a staff CPD day. A Level students will be in college as normal.
This course provides you with a good quality grounding in performing arts, equipping you with background theory and performance skills in specialist areas of performing arts.
There are three different specialist areas offered within this qualification which are, acting, dance, musical theatre and stagecraft. The course is practical and work related.
You will have the opportunity to make the decision of which specialist route you follow.
The options are:
- Acting (Acting for Film and TV – Physical Theatre, Performance Skills– Voice – Improvisation)
- Dance (Jazz/ Commercial– Contemporary – Ballet – Circus Skills)
- Musical Theatre (Musical Theatre Performance – Singing Skills – Acting – Jazz)

Performance and Production Arts students will have access to an on-site 156 seat commercial theatre with full sound and lighting capabilities plus many modern rehearsal rooms. Here, students will get the chance to develop their confidence and professionalism in one of our many productions across the year, either performing on stage or supporting with the staging, sound and music.
