There will be no scheduled lessons on Wednesday 29th November for full-time 16-18 year old students due to a staff CPD day. A Level students will be in college as normal.
This Level 4 Advanced Practitioner course aims to support practitioner currently working within the Early Years sector to develop as an Advanced Practitioner. The qualification aims to provide professional development opportunities for current practitioner working within various roles including the Room leaders, Mentoring and leadership, Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) or within the role of the Physical and Nutritional Coordinator (PANCo). The qualification will embrace the wealth and experience, proven knowledge, and skills of the learner in an Early Years’ environment. It will challenge the learner in both daily practice and theoretical understanding. Learners will acquire and use skills of leadership and mentoring, coaching and refection as you progress through the qualification through work-based learning opportunities. Upon achievement of this qualification, you will be equipped as an Advanced Practitioner.

Childcare students will be based in our multi-million pound campus, with specialist classrooms and equipment such as cyber babies and early years resources. Completing a work placement is a crucial element of our childcare courses as it means you can apply classroom learning in a real work environment.
