You must have achieved an appropriate Level 2 vocational qualification and/or five GCSEs at grade 4/5 (C) including English and maths.

This course is assessed through the completion of a portfolio covering 9 assignments, 1 exam and 3 controlled assessments.

University Opportunities

Past students have progressed to study degrees in business, human resource management, marketing and enterprise, maths, accountancy, business management, hospitality management, airport and airline management.

Career Opportunities

Career opportunities include financial management, public relations professional, business, research or administrative professional, economist, statistics, accountancy and project management.

Tuition fees are free if you are a UK or home- fee status student and aged 16-18 on the 31st August before the start of your course.

All full time students will be offered a number of options to secure at least 10 days of meaningful work experience during the year. This is an important aspect of the course and will help to develop your skills to get a job or progress to a higher level qualification at Middlesbrough College or potentially gain a place at university.
